It all happens at The Basement -  3 horror bands, one night, lots of fun! My band, Spookhand, will be kicking off the evening, followed by the Creeping Cruds, and rounded off by Impaler, all the way from Minnesota!! Impaler having been performing Shock Rock since the 80s! They are one of the bands that got Tipper Gore's panties all in a wad - why their album covers were even shown in congress during the whole PMRC music censorship debates - This is gonna be a fun filled fright-fest! Happy Birthday John Agar

Today is the birthday anniversary of one of my favorite actors, John Agar.

Born Jan 31, 1921, John Agar would go on to a terrific career as a leading man in Hollywood, and starred in many sci-fi and horror fan favorites including Attack of teh Puppet People, The Brain from Planet Arous, and Tarantula. Here's my recommended movie of the week from last May featuring John in The Brain from Planet Arous - and I also put together a music video for the Dead Elvi featuring their song, John Agar Rules.
